We have so many choices in this world…… and each choice, small or big, will affect our lives.
One of the choices we make every minute of every day are the
words we choose to speak. Each word we speak is a key to unlock cursings or blessings in our lives? Matthew 16:19 says: And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven and whatever you
bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be
loosed in heaven.
A choice we have is to bind evil or loose it…..we can
continue saying “I am so sick”, or “I am so broke”, or “things will never
change”, or “this place is such an awful place”, etc. When those are the words we choose to speak,
we are binding good and loosing evil in our lives.
If we choose to, instead, say “This sickness cannot stay
because by the blood of His stripes I am healed”, or “I am in a tight spot
right now, but God will reveal to me how I’m to save/spend and how to be a good
steward of His money”, “things have been pretty rough, but I will not give up
on my God – He has a plan and a purpose….a plan to prosper, to make healthy,
plans to give you a future and a hope”, or “this place has been under oppression
for a long time, but that doesn’t negate your victory, oh Lord. You are King of Kings and Lord of
Lords. You will change this place and
make it a place of refuge for the weary if we will but call upon Your
name.”
See the difference?
We aren’t to deny the problem.
There are problems! We are to
speak the victory through Christ.
Speaking the problem with no victor just looses the enemy and binds our
God from working. We are to speak as
David did in the Psalms – Ps 35:28 "And my tongue shall speak of Your
righteousness and of your praise all the day long”. Or like Proverbs 15:4 "A wholesome tongue is a tree of life, but
perverseness in it breaks the spirit”, and especially Prov. 18:21 "Death and life are in the power of the
tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit”.
We have the ability to speak life or death. We have the Golden Key. What will you choose?
